Homies, what are you doing to stay cool today?
(You probably don't want to hear that it is sunny and crisp here)

I'm not in NYC, but it's 94 here today, or will be.

I'll never see it. I'm working 7-5:30 here and 6-9:30 at my other job so the only heat I get is in my air-conditioned truck during the crosscommute.

Some days indoors is the best place.

Hunkering down with the babe (AKA Grumblecakes) in the room with the window AC unit.

Before we put it in, it was over 100 degrees in the house. Gross.

boston's predicted to be in the high 90s today as well. ugh.
i'm getting all my outside stuff done now (laundry, picking up a blank vhs to tape the 'pregnant man' on oprah to show my class in the fall), then sitting in front of the a/c getting work done at home.

Committing horrible fashion errors in seeking out whatever outfit provides the most ventilation. Of course as I work in IT, fashion suicide goes hand in hand with coffee overdoses and star trek references.

I almost feel sorry for the financial twinks who were wearing the mandatory 3 piece suits on the subway. Almost, but not quite.

I have been crying; my tears provide a smooth, cooling function.

I went to the pool and now I'm in my underwear in the AC and I shall not be moved. I think I'm going to pee in the houseplants before I go back in the bathroom where the AC isn't on.

fans, popsicles, extremely sheer clothing. I kind of like it as people are too languid to get annoyed with one another. we're all just surviving.

Welcome to my world!
Granted, the desert isn't humid, but it looks like Phoenix will be consistently 100+ every day until September/October?

Here's what I've been doing:
- setting home a/c to 90, and using fans as often as possible.
- underwearing it. Easy to do when you're "batching" it once again.
- abusing a/c at work. Went to lounge in my campus office yesterday.
- popsicles and filtered tap water (in glass bottles.) I've been trying to wean myself off of the toxic plastic bottles.
- weekend morning geocaching/hiking. Yeah, its hot in the morning as well, but at least the sun isn't beating down on you quite yet.

+35C in Stirling, ON today. Thunderstorm and tornado watches issued by Environment Canada. Staying inside in front of the fan. No a/c here.
